The care and thought put into this B&B is simply marvellous
Originally we (a group of 4 guys) were looking for accommodation on the Isle of Skye, and due to limited availability we chose to stay at the Seadrift for two nights, which is located approx. a mere 10 minute drive away from Skye. Quite frankly this turned out to be the best stroke of luck anyone could have wished for. The location was convenient for exploring Skye AND the mainland.
Finding the property was straightforward and very well sign posted after you left the main road. Once you reach the house the view is simply breath taking. The owner of Seadrift (Lisa) was simply fantastic; friendly, nice sense of humor, very informative of the local area, and a dab hand in the kitchen; we’d return after a long day of playing the tourist and there’d be tea and homemade cake on offer. On a similar note the breakfast was fabulous; homemade jams, fresh fruits, quality yoghurts, one morning there were even homemade (warm) muffins and of course the full Scottish was indeed ‘full’ – not your usual run of the mill token gesture, of one sausage, one rasher of bacon, etc.
The accommodation was clean, modern, light and roomy, with no noise detectable from the other quest rooms; we were particularly impressed with the water pressure in the shower, it’s a small detail but after a long day of walking being able to have an invigorating shower is just what you need. We had the twin and the double rooms, with the double having views of the loch. All rooms had tea and coffee making facilities (kettle and coffee capsule machine), and in keeping with the general high level of hospitality, fresh milk was additionally provided in a thermos for those who prefer milk, instead of the little cartons ;-). TV/DVD players were in each room, with an impressive selection of DVDs (and books, and board games) freely available to those who wanted them. Furthermore the property had Wi-Fi, and the connectivity was acceptable. The care and thought put into this B&B is simply marvellous.
The accommodation was by far the best we had during the entire vacation of touring Scotland – and to put that into perspective we started in Edinburgh with a 4star well known chain (name no names, but let’s just say the daughter is notoriously famous :-)).

B&B we have ever stayed in
We could probably write a novel about how incredible our stay was! Really, truly goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, rooms are sooo clean and lovely, and the views, Wow! Excellent food and makes you feel right at home a world away.
We would go back in a heartbeat. Definitely a major highlight of our trip. Made our stay a lifetime memory.
The best B&B we have ever stayed in, by far!

Lovely relaxing stay
What a lovely relaxing stay. Such stunning surroundings with such incredible service. Catherine waited up till 11 o’clock on our first night in order to check us in and cooked a lovely breakfast ๐ there were DVDs available whenever you wanted to borrow them and the room was immaculate with lovely toiletries. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Good place!
We enjoyed the surroundings of Isle of Skye by staying at Seadrift. The service is friendly and the facilities are so good. We think is a comfortable B&B, perfect to rest after spending the day by walking around.
